The story of medusa is well known around the world. Once a beutiful maiden, but then cursed by Athena and was transformed into a gorgon. Medusa’s gaze could turn anyone who looked at her into stone. Medusa is seen as a symbol of power, protection, beauty, horror, transformation, and so much more.
This one of a kind painting is meant to reflect all of these intricacies that make up medusa.
Her golden tears represent her heart that is hidden by her curse.
